What does your trade pay *abroad*?

An illustration: a spread of banknotes with a bold arrow rising steeply out of them

Five taps, about a minute, nothing to fill and nothing to sign. The pay there, the pay here, and everything the gap builds, checkable at its source and built to be shown to the family. No trade yet? The first route on the list is yours: we train from zero.

Question 1 is right below.
Step 1 of 5
Your trade. Tap it.
Every wage on this list is real. The marked ones link to the law or the listings that set them.
Your years in it?
And what does it pay you here, a month?
Before we show you: what's your guess, a year, there?
Last one. Who decides this with you?

a year, as a chef in Australia
That is ₹3.3–3.8 L a month. The same trade here pays ₹20–28,000 a month.

Optional. It stays on your phone.

Since you opened this page, a chef in Australia has earned 0. The same work here: 0 · middles of the two ranges, gross, ticking live

An indicative range, never a promise. The wage is set by their law and their market, not by us.

The honest cut

The gross, and the *keep*.

The gross. What the payslip says for a year, before anything comes out.₹0
The keep. After rent, food and transport there, about 37% stays.₹0
The fee, against it. Whatever your route's itemised fee comes to, the keep earns each ₹1 L of it back in about0 days
Plan on the keep, not the gross. It is still a number no payslip here comes near, it is the one your family builds with, and it is the honest yardstick for any fee: not "is it big", but how many days of the keep buy each lakh back. Our fee comes itemised, in writing, on the call, and you weigh it against this exact card.

Everything 15 years earns here, there pays out in about 9 months.
Milestones are arithmetic, not promises: the banked money above, against indicative prices that stack. Each milestone assumes everything before it is already paid for: debts ~₹5 L, then the wedding (+₹12 L), the plot (+₹20 L), the house (+₹35 L), the business (+₹60 L), the next generation (+₹1 Cr). About ₹2.3 Cr for all six, and the timeline's labels show the running total each dot needs. The same rupee is never counted twice. Your district's prices may differ. Year one banks about half: landing costs, deposits, the settling in. The "here" year on each card counts every rupee of the India wage, unspent, which is generous to staying on purpose. The PR window belongs to their government's published rules, never to us.
For whoever asks for the graph

The same story, in one *picture*.

Drag the chart to move the years. The shaded band is the wage range; the line is its middle. Both sides held flat for 15 years: real careers grow, so the gap is understated, not oversold.
What Australia pays beside the wage

The payslip is the *smaller* half.

The wage is only what lands in the account. The country pays the rest in services, not cash: and none of it shows up in the number above.
The maths, opened up. Every assumption on the table.

The wages. Australia: award wages and market postings, Fair Work Australia and SEEK, checked Jul 2026. Israel: the legal caregiver wage floor, Bituach Leumi, effective 1 Apr 2026. Germany (nursing): the public TVöD pay table, valid to Mar 2027. Routes marked [E] are corridors in design: the range is an estimate, and your route advisor firms it up on the call.

The exchange rates. AU$1 = ₹66 · €1 = ₹109 · NIS 1 = ₹31.7 · ¥1 = ₹0.56. Rounded, checked Jul 2026. The rupee figures move as the rates move.

Your own pay, if you told us. We take the middle of the band you tapped, twelve months of it, and compare. It stays on your phone and never leaves it.

The live counter. The middle of your range, gross, divided down to the second. It is the same number as the headline, made audible.

"The keep." What's left after rent, food and transport, for a single worker living modestly: Australia ~37%, Israel ~45% (live-in board is common), Germany and Cyprus ~30%, Japan ~32%. Year one banks about half of that: landing costs, deposits, the settling in. Your number depends on your city and your habits.

The fee, in days. A year of the keep, divided into 365: how many days of after-costs money earn one lakh back. We weigh the fee from that direction, against what stays and never against the gross, because that is the direction your family will weigh it from. The fee itself is itemised, in writing, on your call, before you pay anything.

Starting from zero. If you chose the from-zero route, the range shown is the trade's entry band: where trained people start, not where experienced ones sit. The training that gets you there is ours, and the route advisor maps it, with its time and its cost, on the call.

The milestones. Banked money against indicative prices that stack: each milestone requires everything before it already paid for, so the same rupee is never spent twice (all six together need about ₹2.3 Cr banked). The "here" comparison counts every rupee of the India wage unspent, which no household manages: generous to staying, on purpose. Arithmetic, not promises.

The flat-wage rule. We hold every wage flat for all 15 years, there and here. Real careers grow on both sides; we'd rather undersell the gap than oversell it.

The India ranges. The same trade, hired in Punjab and Haryana today.

And the oldest rule on this site: an indicative range, never a promise. The wage is set by their law and their market, not by us.

The number has a *route*.

A route advisor maps it for your case: the training, the visa class, your family's place on the file, the fee itemised. The plan is yours to keep, whatever you decide.
  1. Is the job and the visa in my name, from the employer?
  2. The fee, itemised, in writing. Every rupee accounted for?
  3. Which law or award sets my wage? Show me where it is published.
Take these three questions to any recruiter. Including us: the call should survive all three.
